WELCOME

TO OUR STORY!

Step inside the Hazey Daze Parlour and you'll likely be greeted by Hazel herself, a familiar face to anyone who's been around Kaslo, BC over the years.

She grew up in the ice cream business, riding along in her mom's Sunny Daze Treats ice cream truck before she was old enough to reach the counter. By 2017, she'd taken over the ice cream truck. In 2022 she opened her first shop on Fourth Street but Hazel always had her eye on one place: the old 1896 building on Front Street, across from the SS Moyie and right next to where the beloved Mountain King ice cream shop stood for years.

When the 1896 Building underwent its big renovation, that dream finally clicked into place.

Today, Hazel carries on the tradition with Island Farm Ice Cream, traditional Frozen Yogurt and Oso Negro Espresso which is made on Oso's original machine. The same machine Hazel learned to make espresso with at her mum's restaurant. Hazey Daze Parlour also serves homemade baked goods, breakfast and lunch options.

It's a small, welcoming space with just a few tables and a covered patio.

For Hazel, it's not just about serving ice cream. It's about being part of a community she's loved her whole life.
